Making a Sewed Mouth

Open the photo you want to edit.

Create a new layer and name it "Layer 2".

Working on "Layer 2", select the Brush Tool with a small diameter circle and some diffuse (the size of the brush will depend on the size of the photo). Select black as the foreground color, and draw small lines over the mouth to simulate the threads.

Now add some blur. Go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian blur, and adjust it to get a similar result as I did.

To draw the shadows, select the Burn tool.

With the same size of brush tool used to make the threads, go to the Background layer, and draw the shadows as shown in the picture.

You'll need some practice on this, but it is not too hard. The key to do this right, is to draw the shadows following the face's shape.

Using the same tool, add some extra shadows at the ends of the threads with the same tool used above.

To make it even better, you can try to add some blood over the stitches using the brush tool.

Well, I would say that this tutorial is very good, but I have a problem. It's that the "burn" color is like red, not grey/black like yours. How do I fix that?
