Straightening Photos |

Open your crooked photo you want to straighten.
|

|
|
|
|
|
|

Choose the Measure tool form the Toolbox. You'll find it behind the Eyedropper tool.

Find something that you know should be horizontal (in my case the horizon). Drag the Measure tool along this line. You can ignore the data photoshop displays on the Info Palette and proceed to the next step.

Go to Image > Rotate Canvas > Arbitrary. You will notice that Photoshop has already filled the values you need for you photo to get straight so just press Ok and continue.

The photo should be perfectly straight now.
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
 |
You might need to crop the photo now to remove the extra canvas around the corners. Use the Crop tool for this.

|

Done! You can now continue to retouch.
